When Will Professional Athletes Learn?
My best friend plays professional basketball overseas in Bulgaria and I know that he would give anything to play here in the states in front of his friends and family.
Why is that we have professional players here in the states that go out of there way to ruin a good thing? They get to have a paid career that they love but yet at the same time some of them can’t seem to keep there mouths shut. They seem to have no appreciation for what they do and what they have.
What I am saying is that my friend lives in a country where he knows not a soul, lives in a hotel room, has a driver that doesn’t speak a word of English and at times fears for his life but yet he never complains about where he is at or what his coach had to say to him or how his teammates treat him.
He has a love for the game that cannot be taught. He has been playing this game for over twenty years and still loves it like he did the first time he picked up a ball.
I just want to know when some of these professional athletes are going to shut there mouths and remember why they play this sport. Not because of the gigantic paycheck but because they once were in love with it.
Its time to remember why you play and if you can’t remember move on.
