The Great Debate
So an interesting topic has come up via a friend of mine. Now, this friend is an avid, die hard, devote Yankees fan and has been since the day she was born. Not only is she a FAN but her whole family has an obsession with the Yankees.
So tonight she asked me if I was going to ever write about “27”. Now you see I am torn….do I write about the Yankees and how they have won their twenty seventh world title or do I stay with my roots and act like it may have been the worst thing to happen in my world since…the last time it happened.
As I sit here to write I can hear everyone in my life who happens to be a Red Sox’s fan tell me how my mother and father would be so disappointed in me or how I might lose a couple of friendships over this. Better yet I can see my brother shaking his head at me in disgust.
I am going to approach this subject trying to stay like Switzerland..NEUTRAL!
I will say that I am happy for all of my friends that happen to be Yankee fans so that they may celebrate and have a great time rubbing it in Sox’s fans faces as well blabbering all over facebook.
As of now the only “27” I will be acknowledging is that I am 27 and at this rate I can’t wait to get to 28.
